Sean Mergard is a Brisbane-based entertainer specialising in Close-up Magic and Stage Mentalism. He has been performing magic for over eight years and has developed many effects and presentations during this time.
Over his performing career, Sean has performed for thousands of people worldwide and has worked with large companies in both the USA and Australia. Sean has performed in front of schools, private parties, and corporate events for companies such as Westfield and Bunnings Warehouse. In 2009, Sean was invited to perform amongst the worlds best magicians and mentalists in Toronto, Canada in a weekend of sharing ideas and discussing magic.
At 21 years of age, Sean has two incredible acts a Close-Up Magic experience and a stage Mind Reading show. His acts are unique being updated constantly and structured to fit into any event. The shows are customised according to the clients needs (size, location, age, etc). Theres no rabbit or hat in Seans arsenal; everything is fresh and modern.

Is the Mind Reading Act Heavy?
Not at all. The show is intended as an interesting after dinner show, using heaps of audience participation. The entire show depends on the crowd!
How Long Does the Show Run?
The show can run in a shortened length anywhere from a ten minute spot or the full fifty minute stage show.
Are you Actually Reading Minds?
Yes and no. Most of the Mind Reading in the show is achieved by techniques we all posses but many of us dont know we have them. Most of the Mind Reading is really just clever psychology, sleight-of-hand and Mind Manipulation. Its all in good fun.

For the last eight years, Seans specialty has been performing close-up magic with cards, coins and mind reading effects for small groups. This walk-around magic performance showcases many of Seans talents including sleight-of-hand magic, audience participation and comedy to create a unique performance suitable for all events. The magic is fast, visual and happens in the audiences hands! Sean can perform walk-around magic to any size group, performing a five-minute act to small groups at a time so no-one gets left out.
This option is perfect for getting people to meet each other, and interact in an enjoyable, entertaining way. This is perfectly suited for Gala Dinners, Corporate Events, Trade Shows and Restaurants, in addition to Private Parties and Functions.
